About the course

Underwater navigation can be hard, and many divers simply follow their dive guide without knowing which way they are going. With better navigation you’ll feel more confident, because you know you’re heading the right way. The PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty teaches you to use a compass, to navigate a dive site by its natural features, and to use distance and time.

Theory

Complete the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty eLearning and answer questions in the two included knowledge reviews.

Prerequisites

The PADI Underwater Navigator is for (Junior) Open Water certified divers at least 10 years old.

Diving

Three Open Water dives.

Next step

The next step on the PADI path is the Rescue Diver course.
