About the course
The PADI Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) course trains you to teach emergency care skills such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use. These skills apply to diving emergencies and to everyday life-threatening situations at home, at work or outdoors.
This course is part of the globally recognized Emergency First Response (EFR) program and is required before you certify as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. It is for scuba divers, professionals and anyone who wants to teach life-saving skills.
Take it if you are starting to teach at professional level or want to add to your credentials as a dive professional. You will be able to teach others to respond calmly and correctly in an emergency.
What you’ll learn
In this hands-on course, you’ll learn to:
- Teach Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid)
- Conduct Care for Children and AED use training
- Manage teaching scenarios and provide effective feedback
- Prepare and run your own EFR classes using official PADI materials
