Lakshadweep, the group of islands located northwest of Kochi and north of the Maldives, is also known as the “Coral Paradise of India.” Your vacation to Lakshadweep will provide ample opportunities to get a picturesque view of the islands, including Kavaratti, Agatti, Bangaram, Kadmat, Kalpeni, etc.

Diving has a unique allure on Kavaratti Island, the capital of Lakshadweep. Kavaratti is the élite Dive cites in India. We assure you that you will never regret diving at Kavaratti Island. We can see rare and large fish compared to other places. From September to May, sharks, bull rays, turtles, the school of jacks, red snapper, Napoleon wrasse, barracuda, humpback, parrotfish, and giant sweetlips are abundant at Kavaratti dive sites.

How to Reach?

The flight service from Cochin International Airport to Agatti Island, which is part of the Lakshadweep archipelago, it is the primary means of reaching the island for travellers. The main highlights of this one and half hour flight service is the breath taking aerial view of the Lakshadweep islands during the journey. Passengers get to witness the turquoise waters, coral atolls, and the picturesque landscape through the windows. The journey between Agatti Island and Kavaratti Island (our Dive centre located) one can avail of a Ferry/ship/helicopter service.

The MV Kavaratti, MV Lagoons, MV Corals, MV Arabian Sea, and MV Lakshadweep Sea are among the five passenger ships that operate from Cochin to Lakshadweep. The journey along this route takes around 14 to 20 hours. Accommodation classes on these ships include First Class cabins (with two berths), Second Class cabins (with four berths), and Bunk Class seating.

Notably, all these ships are fully air-conditioned and provide a comfortable environment for passengers throughout their journey. These ships also feature amenities such as an entertainment lounge, walkways, cafeterias, snack bars, and video shows. When traveling from Cochin, you can book a comfortable journey on one of these cruise ships directly to Kavaratti or any other island (primarily Agatti). From there, you can catch any of the inter-islander speed boats that operate daily.

It’s important to highlight that all these ships are operated by the Department of Port, UT of Lakshadweep. For further information, please visit https://lakport.utl.gov.in.
